Hold onto your heart (and your panties, ladies!), the Terriot princes are back with a new page-burning Must Read!” – Cross My Heart Reviews 5 Shiny Book Bling Stars! Get ready for fifty shades of tall, dark and dangerously sexy in this latest edition to the Terriot Prince storylines. This is honestly my FAVORITE of The House of Terriot hot, hotter, hottest books! Colin is hands down the sexyist GQ hunk alive. You're sure to be cheering, "take it off, take it all off," when this ripped stud takes center stage in the fast-paced action Gideon loves to deliver. Chippendale Boys would do well to emulate him. Even a hard-knocked, determined female survivalist in a shifter's world, like Mia, can't push him away forever, try though she might. And it'll take a wannabe queen like Mia to tame this smooth-talking, savage beasty boy. An absolute must read if you like paranormal intrigue and passion played out amidst the steamy mystery found nowhere else like the backstreets, alleys and neighborhood pubs of N'awlins. Nancy Gideon is the award-winning bestseller of over 60 romances ranging from historical, regency and series contemporary suspense to dark paranormal, with a couple of horror screenplays tossed into the mix, and is currently testing the “Hybrid author” waters. She works full time as a legal assistant in Central Michigan, and when not at the keyboard, feeds a Netflix addiction along with all things fur, fin and fowl. She’s also written under the pen names Dana Ransom, Rosalyn West and Lauren Giddings. On those humid Michigan summer days, I would if I didn’t stick to the seat or have cats with claws that like to jump into my lap. 2. What is your biggest failure? I took a guaranteed contract instead of my agent’s advice to jump to a bigger publishing house at a time when it would have made a lot of difference. That’s when I learned to take chances. 3. What is the biggest lie you've ever told (yourself)? “He’ll change . . .” Pfffft! 4. What do you want your tombstone to say? “Here Lies Nancy Gideon, Skin and Bones at Last!” 5. If you were an animal in a zoo, what would you be? A sloth. Then I could take all the time in the world to chew my food. 6. What is something you want to accomplish before you die? A long, comfortable retirement!! 7. What do you do in your down time? My . . . what? Sleep. And next week, sit at the pool and in the hot tub as your guest! 8. When you walk into a book store, where do you head first? Magazines. I’m a magazine junkie. I love house plans, recipes I don’t have time to make, hot guys on covers that could be my next hero, entertainment mags for clothing ideas for characters and the latest scandals! 9. In 4 words, describe yourself. ADD with OCD rising. 10. Favorite snacks while writing: Coffee. More coffee. 11. Which of your character(s) would you take with you to spend the night in a haunted house? Why? I’d take my Terriot princes, because nothing is as bad @ss as they are! 12. How has your environment & upbringing colored your writing? My mom, a very progressive Depression Era gal, told me to get an education so I could be whatever I wanted to be. I wanted to a writer so I learned everything I could in every area I could so I’d never run out of things to imagine. I still love to learn new things. 13. What are your current projects? I’m just starting PRINCE OF FOOLS, Book Three in my four book “House of Terriot” series. Rico Terriot is the unreliable hothead of the shapeshifter family, not the kind of guy a woman with a young teen daughter needs in her life, but bartender Amber James can’t control her heart around him. Even knowing he’s still in love with his brother’s new mate, doesn’t keep her from wishing he’d see her as more than friend and confidante . . . until his sudden turn of interest threatens to expose her dangerous past. I’m hoping for a late summer release. I’m also bringing back some of my backlist books, starting with my FIRST published novel, regency historical SWEET TEMPEST which I wrote under the name Lauren Giddings. Tell-Tale Publishing will be bringing that back to readers in April. Then it’s a return to the wild, wild west with my Texas historicals written as Dana Ransom. 14. If you were deserted on an island, which three people would you want to have with you? Why? Criteria:
15. What’s something you are really good at that few people know about? Grilling. Not as in cooking enemies over on open fire like my hero in TEMPTATION’S TRAIL, the first book in my Texas Bass family series, but as in the perfect steak, roasted veggies or rotisserie chicken. Even after a 13 hour day of work, I can get zen with my four-burner! (But I still have a way to go to get in the same league as your hubby, Elizabeth!) ::LOL! He is a wonder!:: 16. Give us an interesting fun fact about your book. The Terriot clan was originally conceived to be the ultimate villains in my “By Moonlight” series: A ruthless warrior family, protecting their Lake Tahoe mountain top home, rich, deadly, fighting amongst themselves until faced with an outside foe. But oh, how I love redeeming Bad Boys . . . 17. What motivated you to become an indie author? Freedom! I love being my own boss and, fortunately, am very organized and driven by my OCD. It’s fabulous to go from idea to reader hands in less than six months instead of two years! And 75% beats 25% hands down!! That much math I do know. 18. Where is your favorite place to write? My offices – both at home (from 4:30 to 7:00 a.m.!) and now, at the 8-to-5. Who’d a thought a criminal and divorce attorney’s office would inspire such flights of romance over the noon hour? Mainly because my favorite place to imagine scenes and dialog is on the drive to work! 19. How did you break into publishing? By accident! I was so ignorant back then in the ‘80s with only my used copy of Fiction Writers Market to look up publishers. I sold my first book to Zebra . . . THEN went to the store to see what they published and my first thought was “Oh geez! They have those gaudy pink and purple covers!” Now days, writers have no excuse NOT to be well informed. 20. What marketing strategies do you find most helpful? Any resources you would recommend to other authors or aspiring authors? Develop your ‘brand’ and use it to build name recognition through all your social media platforms. This is something I believe in strongly enough to put together an author-friendly mini-book called Getting It Out There that goes through the process step-by-step. It’s good to stand out as a zebra in a pony corral to get noticed and remembered.
