Welcome to Decadent Decem-brr Demure Reads Blog Hop!
I moved from Michigan to escape the frozen north and enjoy the sunny climate of Arizona, but that doesn't mean I don't sometimes miss the hot cocoa evenings with a good book in front of a warm fire, with the Christmas lights glowing on the tree in the foyer outside my library doors.
My skis may lie abandoned in my shed now, but I do still curl up with a good book with the Christmas lights glowing. I just seldom light a fire in the fireplace, and sometimes turn on the ceiling fan and open the sliding door to let in the cool evening air here in the desert. And there is still a lot of adventure to be had here in the desert--which is where many of the exciting scenes from my books take place, Egyptian tombs, desert palaces hidden with enchantment, and even the underworld. Be sure to check out my Illuminati series if you'd like to heat your winter up a bit!
One random commenter will also receive a copy of The Book of Life, the first in my Illuminati series!

Enjoyed the post. I definitely would have stuck with Michigan winters, though. I love the cold and snow! Your series sounds awesome, as do the giveaways. Thank you!

Thanks, Alicia. I rarely miss the snow and when my kids, who still live in the frozen north, call me to complain that they just got 8" and can't drive to work and it's below zero and they're freezing, I feel very happy to be here. My daughter loves coming her and floating in the pool while her friends are freezing...LOL!

We are having a WHITE Christmas here in the midwest right now! As the temperatures plunge in the next few days you may be happier in AZ.

Thanks, Laura. I was just talking to my son in MI and he told me it was 2 degrees and they were getting more snow, so I did indeed feel happy to open the front door and enjoy the warm breezes.
