Continuing with my current WIP, The Tree of Life, we are in the secret underground headquarters of Osiris, an undiscovered pyramic in Egypt....

An ancient shapeshifter line...psychic abilities....and magic...

  “I gathered as much. You will enlighten me, surely, my love.”
            “He was in my thoughts,” Isis said.
            “A first born then,” Osiris responded gesturing toward a cup of spiced tea a kneeling servant offered. “The shapeshifters have psychic ways, and there is some rumor that the purest blood line may still possess some magic too. We have known this for centuries.”
            When Isis extended her hand, he lifted the cup and handed it to her. The servant, head bowed, backed from their presence. Isis drank. When she lowered the glass, she looked into her husband’s eyes and said, “I commanded him to stay.”
