Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors, the weekly hop for everyone who loves to write! Sign up below with your name, blog and email and share an 8 to 10 sentence snippet of your writing on Sunday. Your post needs to be live between 12:00 noon on Saturday 07/09/16 and 9:00 AM on Sunday 07/10/16. Visit other participants on the list and read, critique, and comment on their 8sunday posts I've been sharing from my WIP The Tree of Life. Last time, Rio, in shapeshifter Black Jaguar form, was spying on the Vargas clan when a VIP arrived. Just as a gorgeous female emerged from the back of an SUV, his attention was grabbed quite literally from inside his head. She told him to stay put, and it wasn't a request... He froze. Then, he pushed back. Harder. You don’t own me, witch, he said, and now he was inside her head, reading her thoughts, feeling her shock, her moment of fear. But then he realized her anger and her intention! He used his own anger and panic and released himself from her command to stay. Turning, this time Rio bolted, running as fast as any savage creature had ever escaped from a trap. An explosion erupted, as the jolt of energy that flew from the woman’s hands struck the root where a moment before he had stood. I hope you enjoyed Elizabeth's snippet this week as much as I enjoyed posting it for her. That's one angry VIP! I'm glad Rio was able to get away! I hope she doesn't catch him! Be sure to check out the other great Weekend Writing Warriors and fabulous #SnippetSunday authors! I can hardly wait to see what that crazy Effing cat is up to this week. He cracks me up! See you next week everyone. Thanks for stopping by--Hudson, signing off so I can go chase some tweetie birdies!

Cool scene, with fast paced, easy to understand action. If Rio had been in the form of any other kind of cat, even a lion, he might not have been fast enough to escape!

This sounds dangerous. Then they both seem to be powerful and I'm not sure who I should be siding with.
