I've been sharing from my current WIP, The Tree of Life. Isis is telling her husband, Osiris, about the jaguar shapeshifter, Rio, she saw in the Jungles of Brazil, someone who as she explained to Osiris..."I commanded him to stay." “I’m surprised you didn’t bring him back with you then.” “What? Why did we have to give chase?” Luc demanded. “How did he get away?” Andrew asked through a mouth full of bread, stepping to his mother's side. “How could he leave if you commanded him?” Kirin asked simultaneously, amidst the chaos of confusion Isis’ statement had created. “I believe his exact words were, you don’t own me, witch,” Isis said, her voice rising as the thought of it brought color to her cheeks and irritation back to her attitude. “What in Hades did that little upstart pussy say?” roared Osiris, fists clenched, the smile lines around his mouth now pushed down by the downward force of heavy creases between his eyebrows. Kirin gasped. I hope you enjoyed the snippet I posted for Elizabeth this week. It's obvious that Isis isn't used to not being obeyed and Osiris now feels compelled to defend his lady's honor. The tension builds,

“What in Hades did that little upstart pussy say?” ROFL. That's priceless. I think Rio better start running further away before Osiris' anger catches up to him.

It'll be interesting to see what makes Rio so different. Why is he able to disobey her when obviously others can't?

Am more than a little amused by an Egyptian god swearing on the Greek underworld/god of the underworld.

Oh, excellent! It's one of the things I have enjoyed most about having sky-gods who have reigned on earth since..Chariots of the Gods mythology...they each have their go-to cussing scenarios, and Luc is notorious for, when injured, swearing in a string of dead languages. Osiris likes to mock the Greek pantheon, which he himself created...they've lived through them all, you see....and they themselves created the Illuminati mythology to cover their behind the scene running of the Vatican and its world holdings...etc...
