From the slowly progressing New Adult saga...Daughter of AncientsWhy did I feel a sudden premonition run up my spine at the thought of Hunter with a weapon in his hand? His name alone dictated that he would be quite comfortable handling them. Something about him wasn't right. I had to find out what, sooner than later. Hunter made me feel like prey. Every time I turned around he was there, silent and still, like a stalker. Waiting. Watching. But for what? I'd had enough.

Her reaction seems quite real. The mere fact that she imagines him with a weapon makes all the other thoughts follow logically.

Great snippet. That she feels like prey just thinking about him being armed spells trouble.

You've got one nervous female there. Got me a bit creeped out too. And curious, which is a good thing. What happens next?

I felt her anxiety with him stalking her. It crepped ME out. When I first read this, I had trouble making out the text. I thought the "I" was a "J", but I figured it out after rereading it. Guess the font was playing tricks on me :D

Thanks. Yes, if not for the "I" I would love the blog font. I may have to find another one. First I have to figure out how I set it in the first place way back when...

For what indeed? Seems like Hunter is quite aptly named! Nice build in anticipation here.

Smart girl. Watch your back. But I think she's worrying about all the wrong things . . .
